More detail on this person: Marvin Carlton Boyea, 64, died Monday, May 8, 2006, at the VA Medical
Center in Hampton.
Born in Malone, N.Y., he had been a Peninsula resident for 35 years. He was a U. S. Army veteran,
having served in Vietnam, and was awarded the Bronze Star.
He was a member of Colony Friends Church and will be remembered as a social and humorous man
who loved people.
Mr. Boyea is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Toby; his daughter, Penelope Forret and her
husband, Bruce, of Charlotte, N.C.; his three brothers, Dale Boyea and his wife, Rita, of Rochester,
N.Y., Donald Boyea of Malone, N.Y., and Irving "Buddy" Boyea and his wife, Barbara, of Texas; his
sister, Donna Thompson and her husband, Jim, of Gloucester, Va.; and two grandchildren, Tom and
Michael.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel by
Pastor Christopher Coppedge with military honors. The family will receive friends following the
service. Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens at a later date.
