More detail on this person: LINCOLNTON, Ga. - Glenn Roger Clements, 66, entered into rest on Sunday, October 11, 2015. He was currently employed by the Environmental Safety Division as a Fire Safety Inspector for the University of Georgia. Prior to this, he was employed as a Georgia State Fire Marshal and a Building Inspector and Code Enforcer for Lincoln County. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Warrant Officer with the First Cavalry Division as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. He received many military honors including the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with an Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Glenn is survived by his wife, Dianne Baker Clements, two daughters, Cindy Folger (Charles) and Debbie Owen, and a son, David Clements. "Papa" was the proud grandfather of Charles Jr., Thomas, and Shelby Folger, and Laura Owen. He was a beloved brother-In-law and also an uncle, great uncle, and great-great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bessie Clements, his two brothers, Edward and Larry Clements, and his four legged companion, Rusty. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 16, 2015 at 11:00am at the Lutheran Church by The Lake located at 100 Twelve Oaks Drive and Highway 378, McCormick, SC 29835. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
