More detail on this person: Metairie, Louisiana - Lawrence Joseph Ecuyer died on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Octave Ecuyer and Ellen Cotton Ecuyer; his brothers, Richard J. Ecuyer and Allen J. Ecuyer; and his sister, Jo Ann Ecuyer McNeel. Larry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Kuntz Ecuyer; his children, Michael J. Ecuyer (Ann Ellinghausen) and Nicole Ecuyer Waguespack (David); and his grandchildren, Blake L. Ecuyer, Stephen M. Ecuyer, Wilhelm D. Waguespack, and Grace M. Waguespack. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Larry proudly served his Country in the United States Army in duty stations throughout the world for 24 years, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He graduated from Jesuit High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. A man of great Catholic faith; he fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith.
