More detail on this person: Mark T. Farrell, age 74, of Grand Ledge, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2024. He was born on March 9, 1950, in Jackson, MI, to Thomas & Madeline (Wheat) Farrell. Mark enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1968. He was appointed as a Warrant Officer in 1969. He served as a helicopter pilot was honorably discharged in 1971. Mark was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, BRONZE STAR MEDAL, Army Aviator Badge, Distinguished Flying Cross and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry. Mark was preceded in death by his mother and father. Mark is survived by Ann, his wife of 34 years, brothers: Matt & Steve, children: Ryan (Meggan) Farrell, Josh (Beth) Case, and Jessie (Ron) Schmidt, and wonderful grandchildren. Mark will be remembered for his love of music, animals, coney dogs, and his lawn mower. His teenage career as a drummer and adult career as an electrician showed his dedication, attention to detail, and intelligence. He will be greatly missed by his friends, family, and pets.
