More detail on this person: John Harrison and Dr. Jean Hollister: INVESTIGATORS PUZZLED BY CRASHED HELICOPTER The Lifeflight medical helicopter from Toledo apparently wasn't flying away from its destination when it crashed Tuesday, killing two people and injuring the only survivor. Robert Benzon, air safety investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board, said pilot John Harrison was flying southeast, an about-face from his travel route to Addison Community Hospital. Harrison, 39, and Dr. Jean Hollister, 27, were killed when the helicopter crashed near Addison, in Lenawee County. Flight nurse Julie R. Miller, 28, suffered a broken leg. She was in fair condition Thursday at St. Vincent Medical Center, which operates Lifeflight out of Toledo. Benzon said he could not tell if Harrison might have been trying to land because of the foggy weather, but said the helicopter descended at a gradual angle, not vertically as it would to land. "We have yet to talk with the nurse who survived the crash. She should be able to tell us something, but we just have been too busy out here," Benzon said.
