More detail on this person: Robert E. Morrris, 83, Lt. Colonel, U.S. Army (retired) of Lakewood, passed into heaven on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with his beloved family at his side. Born and raised in Kingston, NY, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army in August 1948. He attended flight school and spent his career flying Fixed Wings Planes and Helicopters during his tours of duty in Alaska, Germany and Vietnam.

He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Joan Morris; 2 daughters, Susan Craggs and husband Thomas of Lakewood and Nancy Rizzo and her husband Martin of Point Pleasant; five grandchildren, Lisa and John Rizzo, Trevor and Tyler Craggs and Joanna Gargiulle, as well as five great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Shane and Andrew Craggs and Joliette Danger Gargiulle. He is also survived by his three sons, Scott, Brent, Todd and their children, all of Missouri; his five sisters, Ruth Ann, Mary Ann, Charlotte, Eli and Patty, and his brother, Eddie.

Interment will be privately held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
