More detail on this person: Guy passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age 82, in Sugar Hill, GA. He will tell you that he had lived a full and exciting life. Guy was born in 1943 and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. After his education, he enlisted in the Navy for 4 years, and then the Army. Guy served as a WO2 flying gunship helicopters in the Vietnam War and was exposed to Agent Orange which caused him numerous health problems over the years. After his military service, he flew helicopters for numerous police departments, was a Private Investigator, and Head of Security at Piedmont Driving Club. He loved flying helicopters, golf, his dogs, and his family. Guy was a loving husband to his wife Brenda 45+ years, a loving and involved father to his children, and a family-oriented person. Guy was predeceased in death by Lillian Newcomb (mother); Fred LaGue (father); Charles Newcomb (step-father); brothers, Charles Newcomb, David Newcomb, Roger Newcomb, Doug LaGue; and sisters, Sharon LaGue and Donna Hicks. Guy is survived by his wife, Brenda; sisters, Shirley Robertson (Michael), Connie Otto; sons, Brad Newcomb (Andrea), Stephen Newcomb (Jessica), Jeff Newcomb; daughter, Cris Price (Dan); seven grandchildren, Danny Price, Nicki Price, Caroline Newcomb, Jacqueline Newcomb, Valerie Newcomb, Damon Newcomb, Liam Newcomb; and three great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 30. 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Coates officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 30 from 12:00 noon until time for the Service.
