A 51 caliber bullet entered his leg and exited through his head.
Weaver had breakfast with him that morning, he had under 20 days left in country and volunteered to fly. He was flying with C/229 to fill in a lift, with a newby crew. The pilot was disoriented and headed the wrong direction after Moran was shot. A AH-1G pilot headed him to Tay Ninh Medivac pad. Moran was dead on arrival due to loss of blood. from Bill Poluliah C/229, 27 Feb 94.
Gunner was either Leon Hill or Mike Powell. from Reunion 96.
