Additional information about this casualty:
While attempting a medevac mission at coordinates PB-5190, near Ban Houei Lao (LS-147), Laos, the pilot, Capt. James E. Rausch, was killed in H-85 on 12 June 72, when hit by small arms fire that came through the windshield; copilot Disoum landed H-85 safely at Ban Moung (LS-177) . From Sid Nanson November 2013

He was hit at an LZ supporting Thai troops at PB 5190 which is south of Ban Houei Sai. Second Officer assumed control and landed a/c at LS 177 (PB 6077). From: "chaokhao" September 2004.
