War Story:
Based on Army documents provided to the father, also Freddie Chase, believe this is the B/7/1 CAV LOH that WO1 Freddie Chase was flying when he was shot down. He sustained a serious head wound while defending the crew's position and was eventually evacuated by the Troop Commander. He died on the 14th in the hospital because of this head wound.
