Accident Summary:
AIRCRAFT WAS ON A MEDEVAC MISSION. ON LAST CONTACT WITH RADAR CONTROL FACILITY, PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS IMC. RADAR CONTACT WAS LOST APPROXIMATELY SEVEN (7) MILES FROM A 2,000 FOOT MOUNTAIN. AIRCRAFT IMPACTED ON THE SIDE OF A MOUNTAIN NEAR CHAU LANG RVN. A FIRE WAS SPOTTED BY GROUND OBSERVERS WHO WERE UNABLE TO REACH THE CRASH SITE UNTIL THE FOLLOWING MORNING. FIVE BODIES WERE RECOVERED.\\
