Operation JUNCTION CITY
Tay Ninh Province, III Corps, South Vietnam
Location, War Zone C
Description: This largest operation to date began in War Zone "C" (Tay Ninh and bordering provinces) with 22 U.S. battalions, including elements of the 1st, 4th, and 25th Inf Divs, 196th LIB, 11th ACR and 173rd ABN with 4 ARVN battalions. The operation claimed 2,728 known enemy casualties.
