Description: The following is an edited version from the weekly Vietnam Communique column in the 3 Feb 1968 issue.
Cavalrymen from A Troop, patrolling an area near the Cambodian border on Operation Fargo found an intricate enemy base camp supply complex. In searching the location, the cavalrymen discovered a store of rice large enough to feed a 125-man VC company for three days and enough cigarette lighters for each man in the troop.
