Description: The second phase of MACARTHUR ran from 30 Jan to 10 Feb 1968 and was called the TET period. MACARTHUR was the continuing 4th Inf Div border guard operations in the western II Corps. The enemy activity was centered in four areas; Tanh Canh, Kontum, Pleiku, and Ban Me Thuot. The 4th Inf Div reported US losses at 84 KIA and 320 WIA with 2 LOHs, 3 UH-1Hs, 1 SNOOPY destroyed; enemy losses at 426 NVA KIA, 68 VMC KIA, 32 NVA CIA, 21 VMC CIA, 1 Returnee and 189 detainees.
