YOU CAN VIEW YOUR |

Just
about anything you want to do with the VHPA, you can now do online.
For example, you can:

Update your contact information such
as mailing address, phone numbers, email address. |
·
Join the VHPA.
|
|
·
Update your flight class, Southeast
Asian combat tour details, radio call signs, locations, etc. |
·
Pre-purchase copies of future
Membership Directories on CD or paper. |
|
·
Update your personal information
such as nickname and occupation. |
·
Donate to various funds (like the
Scholarship Fund) and/or certain museums (like the Vietnam Archive at
Texas Tech). |
|
·
Email a message to the VHPA.
For example, “How can I submit a story for The Aviator?” |
·
View the entire Membership Directory
(updated most every business day). |
|
·
Once you are a dues current member,
you can register for the next Reunion. |
·
And much, much more! |
Just
follow the steps below:
Step
1
Using a PC or internet connected device, open your favorite Browser (i.e:
Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) and go to http://www.vhpa.org.
You will know you are successful when you see something like the
following:

This
screen is called the VHPA Home
Page. |
By way of example, let’s assume you
want to see what the VHPA knows about you and your tour(s) in Southeast Asia. You
will do this by looking at the online Membership Directory.
Step
2
On the Home page, look beneath the VHPA logo. See
the line of five items ending with Member
Login?

Simply
left mouse click on the
|
You
will know you are successful when you see something like the following:

|
While
you have not previously joined the VHPA, because you received this special
mailing ~ you are indeed in this Membership Directory. So
please press on! |
Step
3
Look on the left side under the VHPA logo for the grey block titled Member
Login marked by the red arrow in the illustration above.
Click on the grey block. You
should see something like the following:

You
will start entering data in the empty white box marked with the red arrow. |
Step
4
Enter your member number starting with the letter Z (as in Zulu) in the
empty white box shown in the illustration above.
Please find your number on
the invitation letter you received in this mailing.
After the Z there are five (5) digits.
Please enter 0’s (versus O’s as in Oscar) until you have all five
digits (example: Z01206). Additionally
select the circle to the left of “Use/Create
a password” by simply left mouse clicking on the circle.
You will know you are finished when your screen looks something like the
following:

When
your screen has your number and the circle filled in, then click the Login button. |
Step
5
You will know you are successful when you see something like the
following:

When
your screen has your City and State correctly filled in from the mailing
label, then click the CONTINUE
button. |
Step 6
You will know you are successful when you see something like the
following:

Please note: 1.
Your member number appears at the
top of the display. 2.
You need to provide or verify your
email address. 3.
You need to provide data in both the
Password fields. When all these are
complete, click the CONTINUE
button. |
Step 7
You will know you are successful when you see something like the
following:

Congratulations!!! You are now logged into
the |
By way of example, let’s assume you
want to update your information to include the year(s) and unit(s) you served
with in Southeast Asia. You will do
this by using tools built into the Online Directory Application (also known as
ODA). The lower portion of the left
most co lumn in the display on your screen looks something like the following:

Simply left mouse click
on the Update My Information
button (under Other Services) and follow the instructions presented by the
application. Perhaps a Tip is
appropriate here! If you ever plan to
become a Life Member of the VHPA, we must have your Date
of Birth on file. |
By way of example, let’s assume you
want to join the VHPA. After making
certain your information is correct as outlined above, you will left mouse click
on the Join the VHPA button.
You will know you have successfully started the application when you see
something like the following:

Eventually you will pass through
several screens and then arrive at the payment screen.
This application uses PayPal to process credit card transactions.
It is important to note that there is no requirement for you to have a
PayPal account. NONE!
A valid credit card is just fine.
In closing, it is worth stating that
you can use the Online Directory Application to join the VHPA.
Then HQ will issue you a new Member Number that will replace your current
Z number. With that new Member
Number, you will be able to register online to attend the Reunion.

YOU CAN
NOW PAY YOUR DUES ON LINE!!!!
You can
now pay dues on line thru the “On Line Directory”. Just follow the steps
below:

Go to https://direcory.org
Step
2
Enter your member number in the box. You must enter the M before your
member number and all 0’s listed in your number (example: M00005).
Step
3
Select one of the circles to log in using either your “Social Security
Number: or “Use/Create a
password”.
Step
4
Select
"Log In" button
Step
5
If you selected
"Use Social Security Number" - enter your social security number then
select continue
If selected "Use/Create Password" - Confirm birthdate,
select continue, verify email address & enter password, select confirm
button
Step
6
On left side of
screen under "Other Services" select either "Update My Info"
or "Renew VHPA Membership"
·
Update your contact
information such as mailing address, phone numbers and email
address.

Update your flight class,
Southeast Asian combat tour details, radio call signs, locations, etc.

Update your personal
information such as nick name and occupation.
·
You can set your own data
display controls. For example, if
you wish to have your email address in the database so VHPA HQ can contact you
but you DO NOT want it published in the Directory; you can set the controls to
make that happen.

You can join the VHPA.
You can also pre-purchase copied of future membership Directories on CD
or paper. You can also contribute to
various funds (like the Scholarship Fund) and/or certain museums (like the
Vietnam Archive at Texas Tech).

You can view the entire
Membership Directory (updated most every business day).

* Note: The Online Membership Directory is now updated each business day at noon central time. During that 30 minutes or so the directory is offline so it is not available for use during the update.
